Dealing with spammers…

One of the “joys” of working with a system such as WordPress for a site such as mine is having to deal with the scum of the earth who think nothing of creating bots and other systems to register fake accounts on sites like this for the sole purpose of posting their spam to sell their crap and lure you to their bogus sites.

I’ve had to install some plugins to make it harder for spammers to register their fake accounts. If you are trying to create a legitimate account in order to post an artist profile or send me your music and have trouble in doing so, please feel free to get in touch with me via the contact form.

Since I knew this was coming, I’ve developed the site in a way that minimizes comments. One of my goals with the site was to create a community around the music and the artists who create it. I haven’t figured out a sensible way to do this yet, but please know I’m working on it.

And, since I’m on the subject of what I want this site to do, also please know that any revenues I’m going to garner from this enterprise are going to fund the stream I’d like to recreate.

On that note, happy holidays and I hope your 2018 is peaceful and rewarding.
