January 3, 2021
As is customary for Audiosyncracy, the first show of every year is devoted to a retrospective of what I deem to be the best music received in 2020. To be clear, the music selected need not have been created in 2020 but received by me during the calendar year. The list is highly subjective and should be thought of as one host’s opinion of the best music of the year. Many “honorable mentions” will be enjoyed throughout January.
Élan – Pierre Guerin – Vagues
Gone – Mike Howe
Follow Your Heart – Scott Cossu – Memories of Water and Light
Beneath the Sun – Chris Field – Beneath the Sun
City of the Seven Hymns – Darshan Ambient – A Day Like Any Other
Observing M31 – Masako – Hidden Flowers
Astronomy (feat The Assembly) – Christopher Tin & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – To Shiver the Sky
Wild and Free – David J. Peña – Thinking of You
The Expansive Sky – John Gregorius – Full Of Life
Campfire Var 1 (Day 5) – Ludovico Einaudi – Seven Days Walking
Desert Whispers – Mike Surratt – World Musette
Audiosyncracy airs on KTEP FM 88.5 in El Paso, Texas at 11:00 pm Sunday evenings (Mountain time, -6 UTC) or online at ktep.org. The program is not archived. Playlists are reported to ZMR and NACC.
